Pattaya Mini Siam Mini Europe of World Heritage famous monuments

Under the scorching sun, we arrived at Pattaya attraction of the Miniature World (Mini Siam & Mini Europe). We get to see many World Heritage Sites and famous monuments of the world all under one roof. Under few hours, with a tiny cost, we sort of flew around the world. Definitely a MUST visit place in Pattaya. It open everyday from 7am to 10pm. 



France - Arc de Triomphe 
One of the most famous monuments in Paris. It to honour those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Beneath its vault lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I.

 This most of you should have seen somewhere.... Where is it? What is the name?
The tower is 324m tall, about the same height as an 81-floor building.

 South Korea - Namdaemun Gate
Officially known as the Sungnyemun, is one of the Eight Gates in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon dynasty. 

Totem (Ojibwe dodaem) is a spirit being, sacred object, or symbol that serves as an emblem of a group of people, such as a family, clan, lineage, or tribe. 

Austria - Johann Strauss 
An Austrian composer of light music, particularly dance music and operettas. He composed over 500 waltzes, polkas, quadrilles, and other types of dance music, as well as several operettas and a ballet. In his lifetime, he was known as "The Waltz King".

Germany - Cologne Cathedral  
A Roman Catholic cathedral in Cologne, Germany. It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996. It is Germany's most visited landmark, attracting an average of 20,000 people a day, currently the tallest twin spired church at 157 m tall.

England - Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) 
A combined bascule and suspension bridge in London. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London.

 Italy - Trevi Fountain
A fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci. Standing 26.3 m high and 49.15 m wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world. 

Egypt - Abu Simbel
The Abu Simbel temples are two massive rock temples at Abu Simbel, a village in Nubia, southern Egypt, near the border with Sudan. They are situated on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 230 km southwest of Aswan (about 300 km by road). The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Nubian Monuments," which run from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan). 

Italy - Piazza dei Miracoli (Italian: Square of Miracles)
It is a walled 8.87-hectare area located in Pisa, Tuscany, Italy, recognized as an important center of European medieval art and one of the finest architectural complexes in the world.  In 1987, the whole square was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The campanile (bell tower), commonly known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, is located behind the cathedral. 

Italy - Coliseum or  Colosseum 
 An oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Built of concrete and sand, it is the largest amphitheatre ever built. 

Austria - Gloriette
(From the 12th century French gloire meaning "little room") is a building in a garden erected on a site that is elevated with respect to the surroundings. The structural execution and shape can vary greatly, often in the form of a pavilion or tempietto, more or less open on the sides. 
The largest and probably most well-known gloriette is in the Schönbrunn Palace Garden in Vienna.


USA - The Statue of Liberty 
A colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States. The copper statue, a French sculptor, was built by Gustave Eiffel and dedicated on October 28, 1886. It was a gift to the United States from the people of France. The statue is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue is an icon of freedom and of the United States, and was a welcoming sight to immigrants arriving from abroad.

Belgium - The Atomium 
A building in Brussels originally constructed for Expo 58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. 

Chile - Easter Island Moai 
Monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people on Easter Island in eastern Polynesia between the years 1250 and 1500 CE. Almost all moai have overly large heads three-eighths the size of the whole statue. The moai are chiefly the living faces of deified ancestors.

USA - Mount Rushmore National Memorial

A sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore, a granite batholith formation in the Black Hills in Keystone, South Dakota, United States. South Dakota historian Doane Robinson is credited with conceiving the idea of carving the likenesses of famous people into the Black Hills region of South Dakota in order to promote tourism in the region.  

Singapore - The Merlion
A well known marketing icon of Singapore depicted as mythical creature with a lion's head and a body of a fish. It is widely used as a mascot and national personification of Singapore.
The Merlion was first used in Singapore as the logo for the tourism board.
Australia - Sydney Opera House 
A multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, Australia, identified as one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings.

 Thailand - The white Giant
Sahassadeja is an ally with Ravana. This Ravana’s ally has enormous power because he has his head up to 1,000 heads and 2,000 hands with a magical club which can order anyone to live or die. He got blessing from Brahma so when he has a war anywhere, he always win.

Greece - The Parthenon 
A former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. Construction began in 447 BC when the Athenian Empire was at the peak of its power. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece. The Parthenon is regarded as an enduring symbol of Ancient Greece, Athenian democracy and western civilization, and one of the world's greatest cultural monuments. 

Cambodia - Angkor Wat 
A temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. Angkor Wat combines two basic plans of Khmer temple architecture: the temple-mountain and the later galleried temple. The modern name, Angkor Wat, means "Temple City" or "City of Temples" in Khmer;  Wat is the Khmer word for "temple grounds". 

China - The Temple of Heaven 
A medieval complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest. It has been regarded as a Taoist temple, although Chinese heaven worship, especially by the reigning monarch of the day, predates Taoism.

 The Chao Phraya Dam 
A barrage dam located in Sapphaya District, Chainat, Thailand. It regulates the flow of the Chao Phraya River as it passes into lower Central Thailand. The dam has sixteen 12.5-metre gates, and its construction took place from 1952 to 1957.

Ayutthayawas a Siamese kingdom that existed from 1351 to 1767.

Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan shortened to Wat Saket is a Buddhist temple (wat) in Pom Prap Sattru Phai district, Bangkok, Thailand.
The temple dates back to the Ayutthaya era, when it was known as Wat Sakae. When Bangkok became the capital, King Rama I renovated the temple and gave it its present name.
Phu Khao Thong (Golden mountain) is a steep artificial hill inside the Wat Saket compound.

 Phanom Rung (Historical Park) Stone Castle
A Khmer temple complex set on the rim of an extinct volcano at 402 metres elevation, in Buriram Province in the Isan region of Thailand. It was built of sandstone and laterite in the 10th to 13th centuries. It was a Hindu shrine dedicated to Shiva, and symbolises Mount Kailash, his heavenly dwelling.
