Our budget flight was cancelled without updating us. So it's necessary to check your flight status before flying, especially when you booked your trip months ago (with budget airline). Not so much on this, let's focus on the wonderful trip.
Booked a car when arrived at Langkawi Airport was easy and fuss-free. There were many agents at the arrival hall. You can asked and compared prices before deciding which car you prefer. For me, i go for Auto-Car and cheapest. Initially we did consider to go for motorbike, fortunately, we did not. You will know after we travel together (i mean in this blog).
This is a guide on the price of taxi around Langkawi. (taken at Bejaya Beach Resort)
After bargain, i get this Proton car for about RM80 a day + RM50 deposit (Hari Raya week). Pick and return car at airport. Unless your trip is mostly island hopping, self drive will be more convenient. It should take less than 2 hours to go round Langkawi (without stopping). But some area like "The Datai" need to stretch further out from main road.
