Nepal best popular short trek 2 Days 1 Night Australian Camp with route via Astam, Dhital, Dhampus

Early morning after breakfast at Hotel City Inn, checkout our room and left remaining luggage with the hotel. We be back for one more night. Driver and trekking guide brought us to our starting point. I started to feel enthusiastic for the 7 hours climb and a night stopover on the mountain (should i called it a hill for height of about 2000m).

Let you have a feel..... Pokhara (800m), Kathmandu (1500m), Australian Camp (2000m)

On the way, started to feel the thrilled from the sight of those snow cap mountains.
The weather was cool in the morning. Fabulous!
(I was from a City with 365 days warm climate, guess it?)

They called them organic sheep. Why?
They fed on organic foods and were brought here from mountain.

Fortunately, the sky was cleared to observe those pinnacles.

I was so excited and started to collect as many shots. Treasured what we have NOW.
And not live with regret - when the cloud misbehave! Yeah!

With experience and friendly trekking guide, Mr Krishna (centre).
I remembered we helped him download whatsapp for clients to contact him.
Email: krishnababu22@hotmail.com
Tel; 977-9846104807
You can count on him (very experience in Nepal). His dream was to trek some of the highest mountains outside of Nepal. But because of travelling expenses and needed to support family, he could not realize his dream. (Any sponsorship to invite him?) I was so touched when he kept two biscuits, which was for him (try), for his son and daughter.

We started climbing from here. Here we come!
Not familiar with village name, but i think these were those we bashed through.
Destination - Australian Camp.

Backdrop of famous mountains:
Annapurna 3, Fishtail (Machapuchare), Annapurna 2

Energized by those affectionate goats cheers!

GO! GO! GO! Come on!
This pile of maze grasses to be standby for feeding animals.

Fishtail (Machapuchare) mountain 6993m
(Mount Everest 8848m)

Annapurna 1 (8091m) Annapurna 2 (7937m) Annapurna 3 (7555m)

Beautiful lush green valley

Encounter with marvelous animals. I have learned to differentiate buffalo and cow.
Local people fed on buffalo and treasured holy cow.

Love the colors of nature.

Beautiful villages on the loop of the mountain.
I am grateful of the chance to relief from the stress and crowded City life.

I have learned that no matter where each of us live at any corner of the globe, there will
always have displeasure or dissatisfaction. We need to master the art of appreciate what we have.

Why we always like to say "I cannot"? (FYI, they were ladies)
And climbing up down hill.

Getting near to Dhampus for lunch

Villagers kids in the school. Sun tan in winter?

Looks like a jump shot is one always needed when traveled.
1, 2, 3...

What is this? I forgotten!

Very friendly villager to accept my request (photo). Namaste!

Still not there yet?

Finally! Anu Hotel at Dhampus
We were here for lunch, not for a night lodging.

Local lunch included in our package.
*We thought drink included, but was told have to pay for them only end of the 2 days 1 night.
Could be sort of tips for hardworking trekker guide.
We were overjoyed especially after energy filled.

Taxing climbed especially this segment. After so many hours, and steep hilly all the way.
Endurance! Don't simply give up! ha ha, actually no one will give up here.
You want to turn back?

Gasp of satisfaction.
That should be what trekker love - hitting the submit.

So cold, yet all wet

I am not going to stay the night in this tent.

Enjoy the fruit of hard work

We will be spending a night right here right now!

There were few accommodations. And this is Australian Camp.

Simple room with brick and mortar is what we appreciate in this cold winter.
Bonus will be warm water available.

Shivering..... hairs also stand

View from the window.

Don't waste any moment!
PLay, Pose, Swing

This dinner was like our chicken rice (which country?) where can be found everywhere
in our City.
Local Spring Roll aka Curry Puff

Morning exercise to warm up the blood and wait for Sunrise!

Amazing snow cap.
That's what we here for! Awesome!

The sun rising mean it time we going off.

Wow.... so near the 7000m peak?

Spectacular!!!!

Local version of breakfast "Roti Prata"

I noticed kids here will run to us when we waved at them and requested take photo.
I am sorry! We didn't realized and did not bring gift. But you all were amazing!
Ain't she looked like a young pro rapper?

72 years old uncle climbing up hill, brought his "pets" for walk - RESPECT!
Maybe because of weather and lifestyle, their young looks old and old looks young.
Both healthy and very fit.

Turning back to greet this wonderful place - BYE

That far top was where we stayed overnight and now we were here.

Pick up point back to Pokhara Hotel City Inn
